Tracking seasonable conditions ahead of midweek storms

This Afternoon: Highs climb into the mid-80s with winds out of the northwest at 5-10 mph. Skies remain partly cloudy.

Tonight: Overnight lows cool to the upper 60s as clouds fill in. Rain chances likely hold off until after sunrise.

Extended: Wednesday sees widespread showers and storms through the morning with heavy downpours and high winds possible. Redevelopment behind this round is possible by the evening, and the second round of storms could be stronger to severe. Currently, this threat is mostly south of our area along and south of I-44. Strong winds up to 60 mph will be the primary threat with the possibility of hail and flash flooding as well. Highs rebound by the second half of the week towards the upper 80s with isolated chances of spotty showers into the weekend remaining mostly dry for the region until early next week.
