Tracking rain and a few storms to start the weekend
TONIGHT: Increasing clouds with temperatures staying above freezing. Lows in the upper 30s.
TOMORROW: Scattered showers early, followed by steady rainfall and a few thunderstorms. Up to 1" of rain is likely across most of the area. Highs in the mid-upper 40s by late afternoon. Winds gust up to 25 mph from the southeast.
EXTENDED: As low pressure tracks northeast Sunday, cloud cover sticks around along with gusty winds from the northwest. We can expect gusts up to 30 mph during the afternoon, bringing wind chills into the teens into Sunday afternoon and evening. There could be a few light wrap-around snow showers on Sunday, but no accumulation is expected. We begin to clear skies out on Monday, but temperatures remain seasonable in the upper 30s to around 40. We get underneath upper level high pressure once again by Tuesday into Wednesday, bringing sunshine and warmer temperatures in the mid-40s to near 50 by Wednesday and Thursday. Another system will bring a chance of showers on Thursday, followed by a big cool down by next Friday into the weekend.
