Tracking a chilly, foggy Monday followed by more rain

TONIGHT: Becoming mostly clear and cold with lows in the low 30s. Patchy fog developing by morning.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with a few showers possible by late afternoon. Highs in the upper 40s. Winds picking up toward evening, with gusts between 20-25 mph.

EXTENDED: A strong low-pressure system tracks out of the Rockies late on Monday into Tuesday, bringing gusty winds and widespread rainfall starting Tuesday. A few thunderstorms will be possible Tuesday afternoon and evening, especially south of I-70 where there will be a touch more instability and wind shear to work with. A couple of storms may be on the stronger side late Tuesday near I-44. Rain continues overnight Tuesday into Wednesday morning, with a drier Wednesday afternoon expected. Rain amounts will range from 0.5" to 1". Temperatures for much of the week will be in the low to mid-50s, with partly sunny skies expected for Thanksgiving and Black Friday. Next weekend could bring more precipitation and cooler air, likely by Sunday.
