Gloomy Black Friday

TODAY: Starting off cloudy and cold with rain returning by late morning. Showers may clear for a few hours, however, they will return later in the evening.

TONIGHT: A few rumbles of thunder are not out of the question tonight as those showers move through the areas. Lows will be in the mid 30's.

EXTENDED: A warm front lifts through the region Friday night, increasing temperatures into the 50s past midnight. Rain lingers into the early morning hours on Saturday with total rain amounts around 1" between the two days. Highs reach the upper 50s to low 60s on Saturday, with wind gusts getting up to 30-35 mph. A cold front will move through Mid-Missouri by Sunday, leaving us with cooler temperatures. Winds will gust up to 35 mph for most of the day, keeping wind chills in the 30s. A few snow or rain showers will be possible north of I-70. Next week is looking to remain calm.
