Mizzou basketball loses close game at home to Mississippi State

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou basketball team fell back below .500 after a 67-63 loss to Mississippi State.

The Tigers are now 14-15 (6-10 SEC).

Once again, Xavier Pinson and Dru Smith were Mizzou's two best players. Pinson had a game-high 20 points and five rebounds. Smith had 19 points and nine rebounds. However, the rest of the team combined for just 24 points.

Mizzou struggled again shooting during the game. The Tigers shot just 36.7 percent from the field and 20.7 percent from three.

The Tigers next face Ole Miss on the road on Wednesday.
