Mizzou basketball earns first SEC win of the season
The Mizzou basketball team won its first SEC game of the season in convincing fashion, 91-75, over the Florida Gators.
With the victory, the Tigers improve to 9-6 (1-2 SEC). It is the first time Mizzou basketball has beaten the Gators since the 2014-15 season.
Mizzou came out firing in the first half and scores a season-high 51 points in the half. Dru Smith led the way for the Tigers with 22 points, six assists and five steals. Mark Smith and Javon Pickett each scored 14 points while Mitchell Smith scored 10 points.
The highlight of the night was Xavier Pinson dunking over Omar Payne in the first half. Pinson finished with eight points and three assists.
The Tigers next face Mississippi State on the road on Tuesday.
