WATCH: Columbia mayor on local protests against police violence

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Columbia Mayor Brian Treece spoke Monday with ABC 17 News ahead of a city council meeting.

Treece discussed the protests that have gripped the country over the death of George Floyd while in police custody and took questions about local protests and police response.

Among the items on the agenda is a COVID-19 update from public health officials. The council has also relaxed restrictions on public comment that were in place because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
