Tracking a drier and cooler day

TODAY: Monday is sunny and much cooler than days past. Behind a cold front, winds have shifted from the north and are expected to leave highs in the low 80s this afternoon. With dew points in the low 60s and possibly 50s in some spots, today will feel much more comfortable.

TONIGHT: Dry weather remains, but south winds return overnight. Temperatures fall into the low-to-mid 60s.

EXTENDED: On Tuesday morning, we may still feel cool and dry, but dew points and temperatures will rise again amid a south flow. Temperatures reach into the upper 80s by Tuesday afternoon. Showers and thunderstorms are possible by late afternoon in the north on Tuesday, but many will stay dry until later in the evening. Scattered showers and storms are forecast Tuesday night and may linger into Wednesday. We'll be warmest ahead of the rain on Tuesday, as south winds raise temperatures into the upper 80s. Highs are likely in the low 80s for the rest of the forecast. Some showers may linger into Thursday, but drier and cooler weather is anticipated to last late this week and into the weekend.
