Tracking pleasant and dry weather through midweek before another wet weekend

TODAY: Tuesday is pleasant, with mostly sunny skies and a light northeast breeze. Influence from high pressure near the Great Lakes will keep us dry, with dew points in the 50s, lending to a crisp and mild day ahead.

TONIGHT: Skies remain clear overnight. Low humidity will allow temperatures to fall into the 50s by sunrise.

EXTENDED: More dry and mild weather is expected Wednesday and Thursday as we remain under the influence of the northeastern high pressure. As it slips to the east, we'll gradually return to southerly flow on Wednesday and Thursday. This will return greater moisture slowly, leading to rain chances on Friday. Showers and thunderstorms are forecast each day through the weekend and into Monday. Rain is likely both Saturday and Sunday, but to what extent remains a big question. Timing, rainfall amounts, and the extent of dry time remain uncertain.
