Tracking low rain chances each day until the weekend

TODAY: The week ahead is mostly dry, but daily rain chances remain in the forecast each afternoon and evening. Tuesday starts dry, but spotty to scattered storms are expected in the south. Chances are greatest along and south of a line from Sedalia to Montgomery City. Highs are forecast near 80. No severe weather is expected. Chances are best after the noon hour.

TONIGHT: Showers will weaken and dry up overnight, leaving us with some clouds but mostly dry overnight. Temperatures fall into the low 60s.

EXTENDED: Wednesday is mostly dry, but a stray shower or weak storm cannot be ruled out in the south. Daily spotty storms are expected through Saturday. Chances are best south of I-70 each day, but even there we expect plenty of dry time. In fact, some days may be mostly dry. Our best coverage of rain is expected on Thursday and Friday. High temperatures are forecast near 80 each day through the forecast, with a dip into the 70s possible thanks to daily rain chances.
