Tracking scattered showers and few storms through the weekend

TODAY: Friday is a wet one, with scattered showers and possibly a few thunderstorms; however, no severe weather is expected. Clouds and rain will keep temperatures generally falling through the day. Upper 60s are present as of 3 a.m., but we expect temperatures in the 50s late this afternoon. Light north winds are forecast.

TONIGHT: Drier weather is still expected tonight, with some clouds sticking around.

EXTENDED: A warm front lifts back through the region Saturday morning, serving as another focus for rain in the morning, before leaving us drier and warmer in the afternoon. Highs are back to the 70s Saturday and Sunday. Some showers are likely again on Sunday. Monday and Tuesday are ABC17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Days, with severe storms possible. For the latest, read our online Weather Alert Day Blog. Continued rain chances are forecast for Wednesday, before dry time on Thursday.
