Tracking April-like temperatures this afternoon
TODAY: Monday is the warmest in this stretch of spring-like weather. Mostly sunny skies and south-southwest winds around 10-15 mph at times will drive highs into the 60s this afternoon.
TONIGHT: A cold front passes through tonight, leaving us dry in its wake. Temperatures fall into the 40s after midnight.
EXTENDED: Starting warm, Tuesday is another above-average day, but highs only reach the upper-50s amid north winds. The cooldown continues into Wednesday, when high pressure slides in with mostly sunny skies. Clouds return, and so do rain chances Thursday into the weekend. Highs are expected in the 40s on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday as a low-pressure system traverses the Midwest. We'll see limited rain chances Thursday and Friday, but data is beginning to converge on a track that suggests chances for widespread rain over the weekend. There is still uncertainty, but rain chances are currently growing for Saturday.
