Tracking a windy and cold night

TONIGHT: The rest of the day is drier, with winds from the northwest taking temperatures in a cooler direction. Winds may gust as high as 45 mph with a renewed push of northwest winds this afternoon and through the evening, and into the first half of the overnight. Winds will begin to relax after midnight, but cold air will have already rushed in. Temperatures fall into the 30s by the evening commute, and into the low 20s by the morning commute Friday.

TOMORROW: Friday is chilly, even with a return to south winds in the afternoon. Forecast highs are expected in the 40s under sunny skies.

EXTENDED: The warmup continues into Saturday, when highs reach 50s. A cooldown takes highs into the 40s again Sunday, and possibly Monday for some, but a prolonged warmup targets next week with highs in the 50s for some Monday, and like 60s for some Tuesday and Wednesday.
