Tracking a small warm up and a weekend precipitation chance

TODAY: South winds are already plateauing our temperature drop overnight, but it may start to warm us by sunrise. We're on track to see low 40s for highs with a south wind and mostly sunny skies.

TONIGHT: Temperatures fall back below freezing tonight, as winds remain from the south most of the night.

EXTENDED: Winds are variable Saturday morning, but return from the south in the afternoon as a warm front lifts across the region. This comes ahead of a low that brings a rain/snow mix to the region Saturday night into Sunday morning. Accumulations remain possible, mainly north of HWY 24, but there also remains enough variability in the forecast that could leave us with all rain, or slight accumulations further south. Either way, if snow accumulates, it looks to be minimal. Precipitation chances wrap up by Sunday night. Highs reach near 40 on Saturday, but fall into the 30s overnight into Sunday. Sunday's highs may only reach the low 30s if they climb much at all. Next week looks mostly dry for the time being, with temperatures expected to return to the 40s by Tuesday and Wednesday.
