Tracking another dreary day ahead of a return to sunshine and cooler air

TODAY: It's another foggy start, with clouds and dreary conditions lasting through the day, keeping us cool. We expect highs in the low 50s. Rain will arrive around midday, with best chances in the west through the afternoon, but some light shower will be possible areawide by noon. This rain increases in coverage and intensity through the evening.

TONIGHT: Scattered showers continue tonight, tapering off in the early Tuesday morning hours. As rain wraps up, winds will remain light. Recent rains will have the surface airmass saturated, leaving chances for more for Tuesday morning.

EXTENDED: After a foggy start, we expect overcast skies to stick around. Most of the day looks dry, but a few showers will be possible during the early morning, and again in the afternoon. A stronger cold front sweeps the region late Tuesday afternoon into the evening. This will bring a glancing chance for a light shower, but maybe most importantly, a sunnier Wednesday as well. Sun is forecast through Friday, with cooler air. Highs only reach low 40s Wednesday through The weekend. By Friday night, a wave brings a chance for light precipitation. Given the temperature profile expected Friday night, we'll have a chance for snowflakes to mix with light rain. Details are uncertain, and we may see snow removed from the forecast, but as of now we'll carry a chance for a wintry mix Friday night. As we warm Saturday, this is expected to switch back to rain. Rain chances linger into Sunday. Overall, a cool and dreary Thanksgiving weekend is expected.
