Tracking rain chances that bookend a dry weekend

TODAY: Storms are developing near the Lake to I-44 this morning, with showers scattered across the rest of the region. We expect this to quiet down with time today, leaving us drier by lunch. Rain will become more prominent again this evening, leaving us with scattered showers this afternoon. Temperatures are likely capped in the upper 50s and low 60s.

TONIGHT: Afternoon and evening showers will be most likely south of HWY 50, but better rain chances near and north of I-70 will return overnight, closer to midnight.

EXTENDED: Friday starts wet with showers scattered across the region. This keeps temperatures around the upper 50s to low 60s again. Rain will move north with the warm front, leaving us with a lull in rain after 3-5 p.m. This brings temperatures into the 60s for some in the south. This is where we'll be the warmest. In these locations, mostly south of HWY 50, we'll have another chance for showers and a few storms, but this time in a more isolated manner along the cold front. This leaves us during the late evening. We look partly cloudy and dry over the weekend, with highs in the 50s Saturday, and 60s Sunday. More rain chances build with another low pressure system moving through on Monday. Rain may start as soon as late Sunday night, before scattered rain on Monday. The cold front clears us on Tuesday. Highs start next week in the 50s, but 40s are forecast with a cooldown into Wednesday, and likely Thanksgiving as well. Another inch of rain is possible in the south through Friday, but through the next week we will add to that with Monday's forecast rain fall.
