Tracking another system set to bring measurable rainfall

TODAY: Clouds and a north wind keep us cooler through the afternoon Wednesday. Temperatures climb into the 50s with overcast skies expected.

TONIGHT: Skies remain cloudy, winds shift from the east, and temperatures fall just into the mid-40s.

EXTENDED: Shower chances return on Thursday. Beginning by daybreak, several waves of rain are possible along and south of I-70 through the day. Better rain chances won't reach areas along and north of HWY 24 until Thursday night into Friday morning. Rain will continue through midday Friday, but we trend drier by Friday night. Half an inch of rain is likely along and north of I-70, with potential for 1-2 inches along and south of HWY 50. Dry skies and highs in the upper 50s/low 60s are expected over the weekend, with a return of rain chances early next week.
