Tracking a breezy and wet morning
TODAY: Wednesday continues showers through the morning, with clouds lingering all day. A notable north breeze sustained around 20 mph gusting around 25-30 mph at most will keep us cool. Some sunshine will return through the late afternoon.
TONIGHT: Skies continue to clear tonight, allowing temperatures to fall into the 40s shortly after sunset, and into the upper 30s by sunrise.
EXTENDED: We'll start on the verge of frost territory early Thursday. Temperatures climb into the 50s by the afternoon, under mostly sunny skies. West winds return us to near 60 on Friday. Halloween night brings more clouds ahead of a developing shortwave trough over the plains. This will roll into mid-Missouri overnight into Saturday. While this should keep us cloudy Saturday, it doesn't look to give us a substantial rain chance. We'll keep an eye on Saturday, but for now it just looks like yet another cloudy Saturday. Frost may be possible early Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning, but aforementioned cloud chances may disrupt this. Our best chance is behind Saturday's clouds, on Sunday morning. Temperatures look to climb into next week, with a return to upper 60s not out of the question.
