Tracking a dry and warm week and healthy weekend rain chances

TODAY: Wednesday is bright and warm. Mostly sunny skies and highs in the low 80s are forecast. Winds will start southeasterly, becoming southerly around 5-10 mph.

TONIGHT: Skies remain mostly clear, temperatures fall into the 70s this evening, and into the 60s by sunrise.

EXTENDED: Sunshine and warmth keeps lows in the 60s and highs in the 80s through Friday. Chances for thunderstorms arrive along a cold front Friday night, and last into Saturday. Meaningful rain will likely keep temperatures warm into Saturday morning, but cool during Saturday. Saturday morning looks wet, but the afternoon may be drier depending on the speed of the front. Highs are forecast in the 70s on Saturday. Rainfall totals could range from one half inch to an inch and a half. Drier and cooler air returns Sunday. Highs are forecast in the 60s Sunday, and 70s early next week.
