Tracking another dry spell and a warm weekend

TODAY: Friday is another bright day, with a bit warmer temperatures expected. A light southwest, but at times variable wind will be enough of a change from yesterday's north flow to return us to the low 80s.

TONIGHT: Skies remain clear overnight, and with light winds we can expect temperatures to again fall into the middle 50s.

EXTENDED: The long term forecast is quiet, with upper level high pressure driving a warm and dry trend. Saturday starts cool and comfortable for the homecoming parade in downtown Columbia. Tailgating will be a bit warm as highs climb into the low-to-mid 80s. Find that gold T-shirt, because it will be a warm afternoon ahead of a mild evening at Faurot. Temperatures are forecast to fall through the 70s during the game, possibly leaving us in the 60s by the time they light the dome at Jesse Hall. As for the weekend, it's sunny and warm as a whole, with highs in the low 80s. We keep the 80s and sunshine into next week, as well as early morning lows in the 55-60 degree range. We expect an increase in clouds by midweek, but any rain chances look low until next weekend at the soonest.
