Tracking a hot weekend ahead
TODAY: Friday is hot, with highs climbing further into the 90s by the late afternoon. Humidity remains low so heat indexes will once again not be a factor in today's forecast. While partly responsible for the warmup, a better south breeze around 5-10 mph may provide some relief from this late summer heat. Partly cloudy skies won't do much to bring relief.
TONIGHT: Skies will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear overnight. Temperatures fall into the 80s through the dinner hour, and into the 70s after sunset.
EXTENDED: Saturday starts in the upper 60s if not low 70s. We expect the hottest day Saturday, with highs reaching the mid-to-upper 90s. Humidity may increase slightly, but not enough to add a heat index worth mentioning. It may feel like upper 90s, but no extreme heat and humidity combo is expected. Sunday brings our first chance at a few showers but most will stay dry. If rain falls at all, it will be highly localized and isolated. No meaningful rainfall amounts are expected here. Mostly dry weather continues until better afternoon storm chances Wednesday and Thursday. Highs are expected in the 90s through Wednesday.
