Tracking below average temperatures into August

TODAY: After the cold front that passed through the region yesterday, temperatures are feeling a lot cooler than we've seen. Average high temperatures as we enter into August usually sit around 87.7 degrees, however the highs today only look to peak out around the upper 70s. We'll sit under a bed of clouds for the majority of today, with slim chances of any rain this afternoon.

TONIGHT: The cool temperatures continue into tonight, with lows around the lower 60s, some areas may even see the upper 50s tonight. The clouds from today look to slowly move south, leaving us with a super pleasant evening.

EXTENDED: Luckily, these blessed cooler temps look to remain for quite a while! Those dewpoint temperatures don't get anywhere near the miserable 70s, and temperatures look to remain within the upper 70s and mid 80s range all the way until the next work week. We don't look to have any storm chances as we head into the weekend, but the opportunity for spotty showers might pick up by the time we reach Monday. Take some time to go outside and enjoy this break in the hot temperatures!
