Tracking a dry Independence Day ahead of a more active pattern
TODAY: Friday is warm and muggy, with a high near 90. We'll have enough humidity to feel like mid-90s. Sunny skies are forecast amid a light south wind.
TONIGHT: Spot showers are possible near HWY 65 around sunset, but this is unlikely. We expect dry conditions everywhere else through the night.
EXTENDED: Showers and storms will be possible with some better southerly flow ahead of a cold front to our west on Saturday. Rain may return by mid-to-late morning in the west. Storms will be weak, and coverage is questionable. The best chance for rain will come through the late afternoon and early evening. The cold front will enter through Sunday morning, bringing chances for rain during the morning and again during the afternoon before it leaves. From here, several upper level waves will bring chances for showers and storms early next week. Daily rain chances, humidity, and highs in the 80s are forecast through Wednesday.
