Tracking scattered rainfall Friday ahead of a drier weekend
TODAY: Friday is a wet day overall, with scattered showers from sunrise through sunset in the region. It won't rain all day for everyone, but rather off and on chances linger all day. Temperatures are confined to the 70s thanks to this. Lightning and thunder will be a possibility this afternoon, but no severe weather is expected.
TONIGHT: Rain winds down overnight, with clouds remaining through sunrise. Lows fall into the upper 60s.
EXTENDED: On Saturday morning, light north winds wrap around the departing low but they fail to keep us cool. More sunshine will boost temperatures back into the mid-80s. We will have another similar day on Sunday. Spot storms are possible both days, but we generally expect dry weather through the weekend. An active pattern keeps low chances for rain Monday, with growing chances Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures approaching 90 and more humidity will have us feeling toasty by midweek. Another quarter to half an inch of rain is possible through Saturday morning.
