Tracking sunshine before spotty rain chances by the end of the week
TODAY: Tuesday starts calm, clear, and cool. We'll climb from the 50s, to near 80 through the day. Winds are light and generally from the west today.
TONIGHT: Skies remain clear, and winds light overnight. Temperatures remain near 60 with a slight breeze from the south.
EXTENDED: Wednesday brings more south flow to the picture, with winds expected around 5-10 mph. This will help us reach the mid-80s despite clouds returning around noon, and building into the evening. This will be the beginning of a warm and humid pattern that favors scattered rain chances each day from Thursday through Monday of next week. Not every day will be a washout, as coverage may be spotty at times, and diurnally driven. Storms may become most intense during the afternoons producing the best rainfall through the heat of the day. The good news, is that the wave driving this will be relatively weak, keeping severe weather at bay. We will be tracking consecutive days of rain chances, so a minor flood threat could present itself on an isolated basis, but overall rain totals do not look overly supportive to widespread flooding. Probabilities of an inch or more through the next week are less than likely north of I-70, but there are realistic chances for an inch or more in the south.
