Tracking a slow rise in temperatures with more storm chances Friday

TONIGHT: Overnight lows cool to the lower 60s with winds out of the northeast at 4-8 mph.

TOMORROW: Thursday welcomes partly cloudy skies with isolated chances of spotty showers. Highs rise into the upper 70s.

EXTENDED: Friday welcomes scattered showers and storms throughout the day. Highs rise into the upper 70s. Saturday welcomes more isolated chances of showers. Highs climb towards 80 degrees. Sunday remains dry with partly cloudy skies. Monday and Tuesday welcomes mostly sunny skies.

Chance Gotsch grew up just south of St. Louis and moved to Columbia to attend the University of Missouri to pursue a degree in Atmospheric Sciences.

His interest in weather begin as a child when he used to be afraid of storms.

Chance joined the ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Team in February 2021. He is currently the weekday noon meteorologist.
