Tracking cool air Tuesday ahead of a weekend warm-up

TODAY: Tuesday is mostly dry, but a few spotty showers may linger early. From midday through the evening, skies are mostly cloudy, but dry. Temperatures settle in the 60s this afternoon.

TONIGHT: Skies remain cloudy, and a few showers pass through. We'll see very little rainfall, and keep temperatures mild, in the 50s.

EXTENDED: Wednesday is again mostly dry; partly cloudy with only spot shower chances through the afternoon after a low chance of showers in the morning. Highs with more sunshine could reach 70s. Thursday brings back scattered showers through the daytime hours. Highs reach the 70s despite scattered showers. This low chance for rain will leave us drier again by Friday. The weekend looks mostly dry, but we need to watch an active upper level flow. This could bring small disturbances through the region. These features are tough to predict at a distance, but could be enough to bring rain chances. Temperatures trend warmer, into the 80s over the weekend.
