Tracking a quiet and cool rest of the week

TODAY: Tuesday will be quieter and less wet, however, as the low that drove yesterday's storms leaves us, we expect one more chance at showers and weak storms. Fortunately this looks to leave before afternoon instability can be boosted by afternoon heating. This means our severe threat will be pushed east of the region. We expect a cooler day, with highs in the low 70s. Winds start southerly, but quickly shift from the west, leaving us breezy the rest of the day. Winds are sustained near 10-15 mph and may gust as high as 30 mph.

TONIGHT: We continue a cool trend in the days ahead, with a drop into the 50s tonight. We expect some low clouds to stick around, especially in the north.

EXTENDED: Wednesday keeps some clouds around in the north, but generally we expect a mostly sunny day. Expect highs in the 60s. We'll be nearly as breezy on Wednesday as well, with continued west northwesterly flow. This wind direction will keep highs expected in the 60s again on Thursday under partly cloudy skies. It's another dry and cool day on Friday, but rain chances return Friday night into Saturday. There is great uncertainty in how the weekend plays out. There is still hope for dry time, but we are monitoring a system that could bring rain chances depending on how it tracks. With track uncertainty, we have temperature uncertainty. For now we expect a chance for rain, with temperatures near 70 Saturday and Sunday.
