Tracking a mild and sunny weekend
TODAY: Friday is a bright and mild day. We expect sunny skies and a 5-10 mph breeze from the northwest to keep us in the low 70s again this afternoon.
TONIGHT: Skies stay mostly clear overnight, but some high clouds will increase this evening, and be present at sunrise Saturday.
EXTENDED: Overall, Saturday will be bright, with only a thin layer of high clouds present through the morning. We'll expect a light breeze generally from the north northeast, but winds may be variable at times on Saturday. Highs on Saturday reach the mid-to-upper 70s, with a likelihood of upper 70s, if not 80s on Sunday. Winds remain somewhat variable, but generally from the east on Sunday as we sit in an expansion of high pressure from the northeast. Mid level temperatures will drive our warmup as they inch in from the northwest through the weekend. A gulf low approaches Monday, bringing a chance for rain, but not a lot. Less than a quarter inch is likely. We'll be generally dry Tuesday and Wednesday, but we're eyeing a few waves that could impact rain chances late next week.
