Tracking weekend rain and next week’s snow chances
TODAY: Friday is slightly cooler than Thursday, with highs expected near 40 under mostly cloudy skies after a brief look at sunshine at sunrise. Winds will be variable and light through the morning, before becoming more east-southeasterly in the afternoon.
TONIGHT: Drizzle will slowly work in from the south during the afternoon and evening, leaving things damp, and most importantly, above freezing overnight. Temperatures will slowly increase overnight.
EXTENDED: We'll start in the mid-30s early Saturday, and continue to warm into the 40s through the day. Drizzle will become showers at some point early Saturday. Still, only about a tenth of an inch of rain is expected through the event. Temperatures cool for Sunday, when highs fall to the 30s. This cooler air will stick around into next week. This will be important because a wet and active pattern is taking shape beginning on Monday, and lasting through at least Thursday. This means, we'll have a chance for measurable snowfall from a wave Monday into Tuesday, and again from another on Wednesday into Thursday. Stay tuned for more details.
