Tracking several rain chances this week
TODAY: Monday is a rainy one, with spotty to scattered rain and thunder through the morning, ahead of more widely scattered storms this afternoon. Severe weather is not expected. High temperatures are cool thanks to rain, with highs expected in the low 70s.
TONIGHT: Showers and thunderstorms will continue overnight, with temperatures falling into the upper 50s.
EXTENDED: The low pressure system that drives these rain chances is slow to leave us on Tuesday, keeping some isolated to scattered showers and weak thunderstorms in the forecast for much of the day. Many could see up to half an inch of rain, with local amounts higher over the two day period. Tuesday's highs are again stuck near 70. Some more sunshine returns Wednesday with highs forecast in the mid-70s. Rain and thunder returns on Thursday, with the rain mostly clearing but leaving a slim chance on Friday. Temperatures remain in the 70s until we see more sunshine and highs in the low 80s over the weekend.
