Tracking a partly cloudy and warm afternoon with a drier weekend

TODAY: Skies remain partly cloudy with highs reaching into the lower 60s. Winds continue out of the north at 8-12 mph.

TONIGHT: Overnight, a north breeze settles temperatures into the 30s with dry conditions and mostly clear skies.

EXTENDED: Friday is looking cooler yet, with a temporary switch to a westerly breeze. Expect partly cloudy skies and highs in the 50s. Another weak cold front will bring a return to northerly breeze, and drop temperatures to near freezing Saturday morning, and only allowing low 50s by the afternoon. However, south winds returning Saturday evening will keep lows in the 40s Sunday morning, when we'll start a climb back into the 70s for highs. Big warmth moves in ahead of a strong system moving in from the west early next week. This has temperatures pushing into the upper 70s Monday and Tuesday. Exact timing or placement of rain or storm chances is highly uncertain, but they will be something to watch for Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning ahead of the cold front tied to this system.
