Tracking a mostly dry evening and a brighter Thursday

TONIGHT: A few spotty showers remain possible areawide, as rain comes to an end. A few strong storms will be possible near and south of I-44, but most of the activity will remain south of mid-Missouri. Temperatures will fall into the mid-60s by Thursday morning.

TOMORROW: Expect sunshine, and highs in the low-to-mid 80s on Thursday.

EXTENDED: Rain chances will return as soon as Friday morning, with showers and storms possibly arriving in time for the morning commute. Not a washout, Friday should be warm, with temperatures approaching 90. We'll have another chance at storms with a weak cold front dragging through the region. Saturday sees highs in the upper 80s, but a return to mid-80s may be possible behind the front, on Sunday. We'll see another chance for showers and storms Sunday night into Monday, which will again leave us somewhat cooler, in the low 80s, on Monday.
