Tracking more rain and heat into the weekend

TONIGHT: Showers and a few rumbles are expected through the rest of the evening, but mostly dry conditions should remain at least through midnight. Some more thunderstorm development is possible again after midnight, near I-44. An isolated strong storm is possible here. Confidence in additional flooding is low, and the severe threat very isolated as this activity is expected to leave mid-MO, so an ABC 17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Day is not needed.

TOMORROW: Scattered showers may still be with us by sunrise on Friday, but we will gradually dry up towards midday. We'll see partly cloudy conditions through midday, and warm into the upper 80s, ahead of a disturbance arriving in our region by the late afternoon. This will bring another round of thunderstorms, possibly around the dinner hour. An isolated strong storm or two is possible, but confidence is low.

EXTENDED: Saturday brings another disturbance from the west, this time possibly bringing a better chance for strong storms with it. Timing currently looks to favor Saturday night into Sunday morning, so plenty of outdoor time may be had during the day, but it will be somewhat uncomfortable with highs in the 90s and dewpoints in the 70s, making it feel like low triple digits. This whole setup will change somewhat on Sunday, and we'll be tracking cooler temperatures leading into next week, but still daily chances for rain at least through midweek.
