Tracking near normal heat to kick off summer, and rain for the weekend

TONIGHT: Skies remain clear, and temperatures fall into the mid-60s overnight.

TOMORROW: An upper low to our east and a high to our west keep us in steady northerly flow aloft. This keeps us primarily dry, but the low will blow just enough atmospheric moisture in our direction tomorrow to give us partly cloudy skies. Still, we should stay dry. Temperatures will climb to the upper 80s.

EXTENDED: Partly cloudy skies linger into the rest of the week, with highs in the upper 80s and low 90s. The weekend is the next point of focus as more moisture finally works into the region by Saturday. This will bring a chance for scattered showers and storms, especially late in the day on Saturday. This also comes with more warmth, as temperatures are forecast in the low-to-mid 90s both Saturday and Sunday. Rain chances continue into Sunday. A low chance for rain continues into Monday, as certainty in another wave of moisture is low, but a drier trend appears early next week. A half inch of rain is possible through the next 7 days. Overall, no break from the heat is expected.
