Tracking a sunny afternoon with weekend showers and storms

Today: Afternoon highs peak into the upper 80s with some areas reaching 90 degrees. Skies remain mostly with a UV Index at a level nine. Winds remain out of the west at 4-8 mph.

Tonight: Overnight lows cool to the mid to upper 60s with mostly clear sky conditions. Winds remain out of the west at 5 mph.

Extended: Friday sees partly cloudy sky conditions with temperatures nearing the 90 degree mark once again. Saturday afternoon welcomes scattered showers and storms becoming widespread by the late overnight hours. Heavy downpours, lighting, and gusty winds remain the primary impacts for these storms. Eventually into Sunday, showers linger throughout the region exiting by the overnight hours. Next week sees highs approach 90 degrees with mostly sunny sky conditions
