Tracking a hot end to the weekend, with limited relief ahead

TONIGHT: Sunny skies have driven temperatures into the low 90s this afternoon, With skies remaining mostly clear with a light northeast breeze, we'll feel temperatures cool into the 70s by late evening, and into the 60s by early Sunday.

TOMORROW: Sunday is for the vast majority of us, going to be sensibly the same as today was, with highs reaching near 90. The main difference is more instability in the atmosphere, and more moisture. This will first lead to more cumulus clouds by midday, with some of those turning to isolated thunderstorms by early afternoon. Most of us will stay dry, but be aware of what's nearby if you're out and about, especially in the afternoon.

EXTENDED: Monday will see a slight reduction in rain chances for those east of HWY 63 as the moisture that drives Sunday's rain chances shifts west. This is thanks to the easterly flow that still dominates the forecast. It's worth mentioning that any storms that develop this week will move east to west due to this. On Monday, the best chance for an isolated storm will be in the western half of the region. Tuesday looks mostly dry, with highs still hot - nearly 90. A cold front from the northeast will drop in, bringing a slight cool down Wednesday, but also a chance for rain. Depending on how far the front pushes, we may see lingering rain chances Thursday as well. Expect highs in the mid-80s on Thursday, only for them to climb back to upper 80s, and approach 90 by next weekend.
