Tracking afternoon showers with mid-week storms ahead

Today: Afternoon highs meander into the mid-40s as scattered showers continue across the region. Winds remain out of the southeast at 10-15 mph.

Tonight: Overnight lows remain into the mid-40s as skies remain mostly cloudy with scattered light drizzles possible.

Extended: Temperatures ramp up Wednesday thanks to a nearby warm front into the lower 70s. Wednesday night brings chances of isolated storms to the northern section of Mid-Missouri up towards Macon county. A strong storm or two is possible with hail being the main concern. Showers and storms re-appear Thursday afternoon as a cold font pushes down to the southeast towards Rolla. Rainfall totals in the next seven days range between 1"-3".
