Tracking more heavy showers with a cooling trend

Today: Winds continue to gust into the lower 30s this afternoon thanks to a strong change in pressure due to a low system passing just to the southeast. Temperatures look to cool down as winds remain out of the north. Rainfall looks to continue with stronger downpours expected between 3-6 pm for many parts of Central Missouri.

Tonight: Moisture begins to pull away by 8 pm leading to weakening showers. Showers look to completely clear up by 10 pm tonight as clouds will shortly follow suit after. Overnight lows cool to just under 40 degrees.

Extended: Wednesday sees mostly sunny skies with highs into the lower 60s. Winds remain out of the north until Thursday where winds shift back out of the southwest. Clouds push back in to create mostly cloudy skies on Thursday. Temperatures remain into the lower 60s heading into the Halloween weekend as a few spotty showers are possible mid day Saturday and early morning Monday. Thankfully these light showers will not pose any issues to any plans for Trick-or-Treating.
