“It’s a blessing”: Tolton softball thankful to return standout shortstop for one more year

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

The Tolton softball team will return senior shortstop Madison Uptegrove for one more season, after she helped the Trailblazers win their first-ever state title in her freshman season. Since then, head coach Taylor Bartlett said she has grown into a leader for the team.

“She’s the real deal. She’s talented, a lot of that is from her hard work," he said.

The senior will soon take her talents to Mizzou, as she committed to the Tigers back in September.

ABC 17 Sports Director Nathalie Jones sat down with Uptegrove and has her story in the video player above.
