Tracking high pressure and cooler temperatures

Today: Winds continue to remain gusty this afternoon up to 25 mph out of the northwest. Highs top out into the lower 70s with mostly sunny skies remaining in place.

Tonight: Winds calm back to the 5-10 mph range remaining out of the northwest. Overnight lows dip into the upper 40s as skies remain mostly clear.

Extended: Temperatures remain into the lower 70s Tuesday before falling just below 70 by Wednesday afternoon. Sunshine remains in place across much of Missouri thanks to a high pressure system parked just to the west. Winds begin to switch back out of the southwest by the second half of the week promoting a slight warming trend into this upcoming weekend.
