Tracking scattered light showers and cooler temperatures

Today: Scattered showers are expected to remain throughout much of Central Missouri throughout the afternoon and evening hours. The heaviest downpours are expected to remain in southwestern parts of Central Missouri exiting by 4 PM. Some areas to the south could see up to 0.75" of additional rainfall, while most should see less than 0.5". Temperatures remain well below average this afternoon only topping out into the lower 70's as winds remain out of the east.

Tonight: Scattered showers remain throughout Mid-Missouri throughout the overnight hours as temperatures cool to the lower 60's. Winds remain out of the northeast at 4-8 mph.

Extended: Showers are expected to push out of the region early Wednesday morning as cloud cover follows suit by the afternoon hours. Highs rise to the lower 80's. Thursday and Friday look to remain dry thanks to a high pressure system off to the west. Friday night sees increased chances of showers and storms ahead of another incoming cold front leading to scattered showers and storms throughout the weekend as highs remain into the mid-80's.
