Tracking a return of heat to start the week

Tonight: Skies remain partly cloudy tonight as winds return back out of the southwest at 4-8 mph. Overnight lows drop to the lower 70's.

Tomorrow: With help from mostly sunny sky conditions and winds out of the southwest, highs increase back to the mid-90's Monday as the heat index tops out near the 100 degree mark.

Extended: Highs will increase with plenty of sunshine Tuesday and Wednesday to the upper 90's with the feels like temperatures nearing 105 degrees in some areas. A incoming cold front from the northwest pulls back into Central Missouri Wednesday afternoon leading to scattered showers and storms lasting through Thursday morning. Highs will fall a few degrees to the lower 90's for the second half of the week.
