Tracking a calm pattern with more rain chances this weekend
TODAY: A clear and calm start this morning has us starting in the low 60s Wednesday morning. Skies stay clear today, and warm us into the low 90s this afternoon. With dew point values in the 50's this afternoon, today's heat should be relatively tolerable.
TONIGHT: With surface high pressure near by, it will be another mild evening. Temperatures overnight are slightly warmer as winds slowly begin to shift out of the south.
EXTENDED: In the upper levels of the atmosphere, high pressure out west is partially influencing our dry stretch early this week. It will retreat a bit more by the weekend, bringing us rain chances. Dry weather and highs in the low 90s will stick around through Friday, but we're looking at increased cloud cover on Friday, and a chance for storms towards the evening. Chances for rain will grow Saturday and Sunday, as waves from the north will bring daily chances for thunderstorms. Temperatures will largely depend on rainfall this weekend, but temperatures have to potential to reach low 90s both Saturday and Sunday. The pattern looks less active by Monday and Tuesday, with heat building into next week.
