Quiet and mild weather in store for weekend

TODAY: Temperatures are starting warm again Friday. Rain ongoing across the area earlier this morning, will add to any humid feeling at the surface. At the same time, behind the rainfall, winds will generally shift more northerly, lending to an overall cooling effect today. Expect highs in the upper 80s to low 90s from north to south respectively. Not much decrease in humidity is expected Friday, but dew points trend lower into the weekend. An isolated shower or storm is possible north of I-70 this afternoon, but largely dry weather is expected the rest of the day, with partly cloudy skies.

TONIGHT: Dry weather holds over tonight, with lingering clouds sticking around into the early morning on Saturday. Saturday, temperatures fall to near 70.

EXTENDED: Cooler, and more mild air returns for Saturday. Expect highs in the mid 80s, with lower humidity and mostly sunny skies. Sunshine stays for Sunday, and temperatures remain in the upper 80s. A big warm up is back for Monday, with temperatures in the mid-90s under mostly sunny skies. More moisture returns with the warmth, and it's turned into rain along a front that arrives early Tuesday. Drier weather, but still warm temperatures are expected through the middle of next week.
