Tracking a pleasant start to the week, and hints of rain by the end

TODAY: Monday will start cool, with temperatures in the high 50s and lower 60s. This comes as surface high pressure is sliding in from the northwest. This has kept northerly winds in place, and mostly clear skies. Through the day, sunshine will warm temperatures to just around 80 degrees. Skies will stay mostly clear, until the afternoon, where mid-to-high level clouds will bring partly cloudy conditions. Very low dewpoints make for an even more comfortable feeling day.

TONIGHT: High clouds move out overnight, setting us up for another clear and cool morning, with temperatures in the upper 50s.

EXTENDED: Mostly sunny skies, with highs in the low 80s stay in the forecast Tuesday. Wednesday, more southwesterly winds will warm temperatures to near 90 degrees. This continues into Thursday, where we have potential to hit mid-90s. More moisture will work into mid-Missouri with more flow from the south. Storm chances will start to bubble up Friday afternoon, when temperatures are likely still in the low 90s. A cold front overnight into Saturday will bring more storms, and some cooler weather, with temperatures falling back into the mid-80s on Saturday. Some lingering showers are possible into Sunday morning.
