Tracking afternoon sunshine before late overnight storms

Today: Skies look to remain partly cloudy with afternoon highs peaking into the lower 80's. Winds remain out of the north at 5-10 mph.

Tonight: Late Tuesday night, a low pressure system to the northwest of Missouri will slide southeast leading to increased chances of overnight storms beginning after 3 am. Some gusty winds and downpours are possible with the chance of isolated hail low.

Extended: Showers and storms will exit Mid-Missouri after noon leading to partly cloudy afternoon conditions. Thursday looks to be dry with highs near average before storms return Friday. This upcoming weekend looks to be dry as temperatures continue to increase heading into next week
