Tracking strong to severe Tuesday afternoon storms
Tonight: Winds continue to remain gusty out of the south at 10-15 mph. Temperatures remain on the warmer side for the overnight low bottoming out just above 70 degrees with partly cloudy skies.
Tomorrow: The morning hours begin warm and partly cloudy with temperatures quickly warming back to the 80's by noon. After 3 PM, storms begin to develop just to northwest of Central Missouri. These afternoon storms will begin to strengthen with the possibility of becoming severe as they push east. The main threats with these storms will be winds up to 60 mph, hail larger than 1" in diameter, and the possibility of a brief spin-up tornado. These risk will die out by 2 AM Wednesday as the storms lose energy and push east.
Extended: Showers and storms will remain in Central Missouri throughout the duration of Wednesday before finally pushing east by Thursday morning out of Central Missouri. Temperatures drop back to the mid-70's throughout the week until winds pull back out of the south with clearer conditions on Friday and Saturday leading to near average high temperatures.
