Tracking chances for isolated severe storms this afternoon

Today: Storms will begin to develop this afternoon to the east of Columbia beginning around 2 PM. All forms of severe risk are on the table including a possible brief spin-up tornado. Thankfully, all risks are on the side of lower probabilities. These storms will continue to build in and push to the east exiting mid-Missouri with chances of severe parameters after 6 PM. Highs will top out into the mid-70's.

Tonight: Scattered showers and storms will continue tonight with overnight lows cooling near 60 degrees.

Extended: The stalled low pressure system currently residing over Mid-Missouri will slowly push east on Thursday bringing with it more moisture leading to more chances of showers and storms. Storms and shower's will then exit Friday morning leading way to a drier and warm Memorial day weekend with temperatures reaching the upper 80's by Monday.
