Tracking afternoon showers/ storms with a warm weekend ahead

Today: Temperatures will continue to rise throughout the early afternoon into the mid-'70s due to an incoming warm front. Scattered showers and storms will begin to develop late this afternoon lasting until 11 tonight. The main risk with this incoming system will be possible hail with storms in northeast Central Missouri.

Tonight: The overnight lows bottom out into the lower '60s keeping our temperatures well above the average low for late April. Winds remain out of the south at 10-15 mph.

Extended: Friday morning brings chances of scattered showers before clearing into the early afternoon hours to partly cloudy. Temperatures top out into the lower '80s with similiar above-average heat on Saturday. Saturday night into Sunday brings increased chances of widespread showers lasting through Sunday cooling highs back into the '60s.
